1. Friday: I moved home, dumped all of my belongings into my childhood bedroom. Looks like Hurricane Samantha is finally back.
2. Saturday: We went to Lake Winnipesaukee with my Roommate's friends. They were ready to party. My male roommate took a sweet tumble into the water off the tube.
3. Sunday: We went hiking in Rumney, NH. It was beyond beautiful.
4. Monday: Drove all over NH, to bring my friend Steve home to Gardner, MA. I witnessed the world's second biggest chair, sadly it was smaller than I expected.
5. Tuesday: Spent the day with my best friend Chalupa (Marybeth). We went and saw We are the Millers, it was hilarious. After I had my wallet stolen and without my license became an 18 year old. No drinking for me… Lame.
6. Wednesday: I cleaned my room. It looks like an adult lives in there. I had to remove all my Right Wing paraphernalia, because as an adult I realized I care about people… weird.
After I took a freezing ride in the Female Roommate's convertible to the Hanover Farmer's Market. I bought a bundle of carrots my favorite, they were gone within 10 minutes. Roommate wanted a glass of wine but like I said, until Thursday I would be 18.
That night I went running at 9:30pm. I left my house and got 10 yards down the road, when the street lamp went out, a strange silhouette of a man with a creature with red eyes was standing just down the hill from me, I yelled "Nope" and sprinted back into my house. Tried again a few minutes later, this time with my dog, safety in numbers.
7. Thursday: Took a trip to Concord with the male roommate. He made up a ridiculous rap along the way, it went like this, "You got issues, like I got Mother Fu**ing tissues". You can see where I get my thugness from. Went to the DMV, male rooommate made a scene about kids having Ipads, and not being able to recognize their surroundings, "You see, I could just pick him up and put him in a box in a basement and he would have no idea as long as he had that stupid thing." People started staring. I just prayed the line would hurry up. I got a new license I am finally 24 again. Thank god, first thing I did was buy a bottle of jack and drank the whole thing just to prove it. Only kidding, instead I went and ate my weight in sushi with my roommate. It was delicious.
On the ride home I noticed my male roommate had roughly 200 stamps in his car. Which led to a discussion about his own father's stamp collection. I found out my roommate has a fear of forever stamps, " From a philatelist point of view, forever stamps are rather unnerving."
Around exit 8, I started talking to my friend Steven, who was just named varsity soccer coach for his school (!!!!!). My roommate wondered how his mini Beckhams were doing and if they needed to find their "Saucy Spice's". Saucy Spice, Posh Spice, pretty similar.
By exit 12 we were pretty bored. I decide we should play a car game called "Count the Cars". It's a rather simple game, you just have to count every car you see. We took backroads home starting at exit 13. I couldn't stop laughing at how ridiculous this game was. The roommate decides to add boats and lawnmowers to the list. I decide wheelbarrows count but only if there is a person currently in it. End count, 532.
Got home and ate lobster which took us three different trips to two different stores to buy because we kept forgetting who we needed to feed.
8. Friday: Go for my 3rd run of the week. Got home to find my friend Long Ding at my house, (seriously that's his name.). I convinced him to go for a hike with me. We take my little dog, she leads us down a dead end path, and we realize that we are stuck over our ankles in a swampy jungle, after 20 minutes we make it out alive and back on the trail. I think Long was going to kill me. The dog was so proud of herself.
9. Saturday: Drove up to Grand Isle, VT with the roommates for a wedding. Male roommate spent twenty minutes building up his favorite view off of 89 in VT, I bet you can't guess what it was… a barn, in Vermont, so rare. Roommates and I were some of the last to leave the dance floor, they were really feeling it.
10. Sunday: Woke up for breakfast in Burlington, VT. After we started the long drive home. I made the roommates stop at everything I could see from the road., an awesome old barn full of antique goodies, a sweet flea market full of some of Vermont's finest people. We talked about how now that we were roommates we could do this stuff all the time, all of us were a little scared by this thought. Female roommate suggested we could drive across the country. Male roommate reasoned with her saying that with me, it would take them at least four years because of all the stops I would make them do, (it's so true.). Drove through Smuggler's Notch, female roommate was terrified. I was in awe. Male roommate was out of gas. We turned around to fill up and stop at Ben and Jerry's ( I got CoffeeCoffee Buzz!Buzz!Buzz!) before heading home.
I survived the first week with the Roommates.
